The Indians have acquired reliever Jairo Asencio from the Braves for cash, according to an ESPN.com report on Thursday.
Asencio was on the Braves' restricted list all of 2010 after it was discovered he had come to the U.S. as Luis Valdez and claimed to be three years younger.

Royals Acquire Bourgeois, Quintero From Astros
The Astros have traded outfielder Jason Bourgeois and catcher Humberto Quintero to the Royals in exchange for minor league lefthander Kevin Chapman and a player to be named.
"We felt this was a good opportunity to trade a couple guys where we had depth for a couple of guys for the future," Houston general manager Jeff Luhnow said.
Kansas City was in need of a catcher after Sal Perez underwent knee surgery that will likely keep him out until midseason.
Rangers Send Kelvin De La Cruz Back To Indians
The Texas Rangers have traded Kelvin De La Cruz back to Cleveland, less than a month after acquiring the minor league pitcher from the Indians.
De La Cruz was sent back to Cleveland on Thursday for cash considerations, the same way he had been acquired Feb. 21 by the Rangers.
